These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of the website and services including ticket purchases, event participation, and all interactions related to our live shows offered by “Uplifting Enterprises”, a registered sole proprietorship based in Karachi, Pakistan (referred to herein as “Uplifting”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).

1. About Uplifting

Uplifting is a recurring live experience hosted in Karachi, Pakistan, with the purpose of providing a respectful and judgment-free platform for individuals to connect, converse, and enjoy a collaborative experience. Our shows blend light-hearted banter, crowd participation, and human connection, all in a supportive setting.

2. Event Description

All ticket purchases made through this website are for entry to Uplifting’s live events, which are held at various venues across Karachi (or beyond in the future). Upcoming events, locations, and dates will always be updated on our:

3. Ticketing Policy

  • All tickets are non-refundable, unless an event is officially canceled by Uplifting management.
  • Tickets are valid only for the specific show/date selected at the time of purchase.
  • Ticket Reselling: Reselling tickets for profit is discouraged and may lead to invalidation of the ticket without a refund. We recommend attendees only purchase tickets through official channels to avoid scams or invalid access.

Disclaimer: Tickets purchased from third-party vendors will not be honored unless explicitly approved by Uplifting.

4. Participation & Code of Conduct

Uplifting shows are 18+ and may involve:

  • Banter, comedy, open dialogue, or occasional adult humor.
  • Use of light swearing or slang (never in a targeted, abusive manner).
  • Encouraged audience interaction, only if voluntary and respectful.

We are committed to maintaining a safe and inclusive space. All participants and attendees must:

  • Respect each other’s boundaries and privacy
  • Avoid hate speech, targeted insults, or aggressive behavior
  • Allow everyone the space to express themselves without judgment.

The Uplifting team reserves the right to ask any individual to leave if they violate the values of the space.

5. Media Consent

  • We do not record the full show or distribute entire videos.
  • Short video clips, photos, and promotional material may be captured during the show and shared on our:
    • Instagram account
    • Website
    • Other promotional platforms

If any individual wishes to not appear in this material, they can notify our team at the venue or email us after the show. We will make reasonable efforts to respect those requests.

6. Payment Terms

All ticket transactions are securely processed via trusted Pakistani payment provider:

  • PayPro

Your financial information is processed directly by these providers and is never stored on our servers.

7. Dispute Resolution

If you experience any issues related to:

  • Payment processing
  • Ticketing errors
  • Event logistics

We aim to respond to all disputes within 7 business days.

8. Limitation of Liability

Uplifting is not responsible for:

  • Emotional or interpersonal outcomes that arise from event participation.
  • Any incidents that occur outside the venue or not under our staff’s supervision.
  • Technical issues with third-party payment platforms.

Attendees and participants engage at their own discretion and risk.

9. Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and any legal disputes will be subject to the courts of Karachi.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. Updates will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.

Appearance Release & Voluntary Participation Agreement

By submitting this application, I understand and agree to the following:

1. Voluntary Participation
I understand that applying to participate in Uplifting does not guarantee that I will be selected or appear in the show. If selected, my participation is voluntary, and I may be asked to take part in casting, rehearsals, filming, interviews, and other activities reasonably connected to the production.

2. Age & Eligibility
I confirm that I am at least 18 years of age and that the information I have provided in my application is truthful and accurate to the best of my knowledge.

3. Recording & Use of My Appearance
I understand that Uplifting is a filmed live experience and that my appearance may be photographed, filmed, and recorded. By participating, I give Uplifting and its production partners permission to use my name, image, likeness, voice, statements, and appearance in connection with the production, broadcast, distribution, promotion, publicity, and marketing of Uplifting.

This may include use on television, streaming platforms, social media, websites, promotional material, and other media now known or developed in the future.

4. Content & Editing
I understand that footage of my participation may be edited for timing, storytelling, clarity, or promotional purposes. I understand that Uplifting may use reasonable excerpts or highlights from my participation to promote the show and its future episodes.

5. Personal Information & Participation
I understand that information I voluntarily share during my participation, including my interests, experiences, opinions, and answers to questions, may be included in the final production or promotional content.

I understand that I should only share information that I am comfortable having recorded and potentially broadcast or published.

6. Compensation
I understand that my participation in Uplifting is voluntary and does not create an employment relationship. Unless separately agreed to in writing, I will not receive payment or other compensation for my participation or for the use of my appearance and recorded materials.

7. Conduct & Safety
I agree to behave respectfully toward other participants, the hosts, audience members, crew, and everyone involved in the production. I agree to follow reasonable instructions and production guidelines provided by the Uplifting team.

8. After the Show
I understand that any connection or relationship that develops as a result of my participation is my personal choice to pursue or not pursue after the show. Uplifting does not guarantee any particular outcome or relationship between participants.

9. Confidentiality
I agree not to intentionally disclose unreleased or confidential information about the production, including details that the Uplifting team has specifically asked participants to keep private, before the relevant episode or content is officially released.

10. Release & Acknowledgment
To the extent permitted by applicable law, I agree that Uplifting and its production partners will not be responsible for claims arising from my voluntary participation or the authorized use of my appearance and recorded materials, except where such responsibility cannot legally be excluded.

I understand that I have had the opportunity to ask questions about my participation and that I am voluntarily agreeing to these terms.
